Your wedding flowers are so much more that beautiful decorations. They help set the mood, reflect your personality, and bring your vision to life. At Extra Gorgeous Blooms, I believe the journey to creating your dream wedding flowers should be just as enjoyable as seeing them on the big day.
If you are wondering what happens after you enquire with a wedding florist, here is a guide to my wedding flower booking process.
Step 1: Initial Enquiry
The first step is getting in touch. When you contact us, I will ask for some key details about your wedding, including:
Your wedding date
Ceremony and reception venues
Estimated guest numbers
Your colour palette or style preferences
Any inspiration images you love
Do not worry if you have not finalised every detail yet. Many couples come to me with a few ideas and a Pinterest board, and that is the perfect place to start.
Step 2: Consultation and Inspiration
Once I have received your enquiry, we will arrange a consultation to discuss your wedding in more detail. This can be in over the phone, via video call or meet locally for a coffee.
During our conversation, we will talk about:
Your overall wedding theme and style
Bridal party flowers
Ceremony arrangements
Reception flowers and table designs
Seasonal flower options
Budget considerations
This is where the magic begins. We will explore how flowers can enhance your venue and create a cohesive look throughout your day.
Step 3: Personalised Proposal and Quote
Following our consultation, I will create a bespoke floral proposal tailored to your wedding.
The proposal typically includes:
Recommended floral designs
Suggested flower varieties
Colour palettes
A detailed quotation
My goal is to provide a clear vision of how your wedding flowers will look while ensuring everything aligns with your budget.
Step 4: Securing Your Date
Once you are happy with the proposal, a booking fee of £200.00 is required and that you sign a floral contract. This secures your wedding date in my diary.
Wedding dates, particularly during peak season, can book up quickly, so I always recommend securing your florist as soon as possible.
Once booking is confirmed, you can relax knowing your flowers are in safe hands.
Step 5: Planning and Refinement
As your wedding day approaches, we will stay in touch to refine any details.
This may include:
Final guest numbers
Updated timelines
Venue changes
Additional floral requirements
Seasonal flower availability
I understand that plans can evolve, and I am here to guide you through any adjustments along the way.
Step 6: Final Consultation
Around four to six weeks before your wedding, we will confirm all the final details.
At this stage we will review:
Delivery locations and timings
Final floral designs
Setup requirements
Collection arrangements where available
The final review ensures everything runs smoothly on the day.
Step 7: Wedding Day Delivery and Setup
On your wedding day, I will carefully prepare, deliver, and install your flowers with the help of a close team.
From bridal bouquets and buttonholes to ceremony arches and reception centrepieces, every arrangement is created with care and attention to details.
My goal is for you to walk into your venue and see your vision brought beautifully to life.
