There is something truly magical about a historic Hampshire wedding venue, and The Elvetham Hotel in Hampshire is no exception.
As a florist based in Alton, Hampshire, I recently had the pleasure of transforming their iconic library fireplace into a beautiful floral display, and I am so excited to share behind the scenes process with you.

Whether you are planning a Hampshire wedding, a corporate event in Surrey, or a celebration in Sussex or Berkshire, this installation perfectly captures the "refined garden" aesthetic that is so popular right now.
The library at The Elvetham, Hampshire is steeped in history, featuring dark wood and an incredible stone carved fireplace. To balance the grand, moody tones of the room we decided on a wild, romantic floral installation that looked like it was growing directly from the hearth.

How we created the look:
Asymmetrical Mantel Spray
Instead of the traditional, symmetrical garland, we opted for an asymmetrical mantel installation. By concentrating the weight of flowers on one side and allowing the lush greenery to trail down toward the floor, we created a sense of movement and natural "growth"

Focal Urn Arrangements
To frame the fireplace, we placed two grand stone-style urns on pedestals draped in soft white fabric. These urns filled with matching vibrant flowers such as peach and coral roses, beautiful ranunculus and tulips.

The Perfect Portrait
From saying your vow's to the wedding breakfast and then to the first dance and final farewell, a custom floral installation like this one creates a breathtaking, ever evolving backdrop for every moment throughout your big day

The Finishing Touches: Candles and Ambience
No fireplace installation is complete without the glow of candle light and there is no better venue dresser than @theluxuryhireco
Working with Syretta from The Luxury Hire Co really complemented my style of flower design. With Syretta we lined the mantel with white pillar candles in glass hurricane vases. This not only highlighted the intricate stone caring of the fireplace but also curated a warm and inviting space for guests.
