Creating flowers at Bury Court Barn, Bentley, Surrey for a special charity event.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Bury Court Barn, the brief was to create something natural, abundant and uplifting - floral displays that would welcome guest into the space and capture the beauty of an English summer meadow.

Rather than traditional arrangements, I wanted some of the flowers to appear as though they had naturally grown from the ground. The aim was to create movement, texture and a sense of being immersed in nature, with flowers weaving between grasses and foliage in a way that felt wild yet carefully considered.

The design featured a mixture of seasonal blooms, delicate meadow inspired flowers and textured greenery, chosen to create layers of colour and interest. Every stem was placed to mimic the way flowers grow in nature, allowing the installation to feel relaxed and organic while still having plenty of impact.

One of the things I love the most about creating floral meadows is the freedom they offer. Unlike more structured arrangements, meadow designs encourage movement and celebrate the individuality of each flower.

Flowers have a unique ability to transform a space and create a soothing atmosphere.

What made the day even more meaningful was knowing that the event was supporting a local charity. Being able to contribute my work to something that brings people together while raising money and awareness for charity made the project feel even more special.

Bury Court Barn provided the perfect setting for these florals. With it's stunning architecture, gardens and countryside surroundings, it complemented the natural style and allowed the flowers to become part of the landscape rather than simply decoration.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and to all those who supported the charity. It was a privilege to be part of such a wonderful day, and I look forward to creating many more floral installations that bring a little bit of nature indoors.
