There is something truly magical about a classic country house wedding, especially when it takes place at the height of spring. This past May, I had the absolute joy of designing the floral concept for Kat and Chris at the exquisite Southdowns Manor in Petersfield.

Tucked away within the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park, this exclusive-use Victorian estate provided the ultimate backdrop for their romantic, sunshine-filled celebration.
The amazing photos in this blog have all been captured by Amber at www.wowphotography.co.uk who is an incredibly talented photographer.
The Floral Vision: May Sunshine Meet's Timeless Elegance
When Kat envisioned her big day, she wanted a palette that felt both incredibly cheerful and classically sophisticated. To balance the clean, crisp lines of her stunning A-line satin wedding gown and Chris's dapper neutral suit, we designed a floral scheme that radiated warmth and joy.

The colour palette centred around:
Buttery Yellow Roses: Bringing an immediate touch of spring sunshine, happiness and romance.
Crisp White Peonies: Offering lush, pillow-soft textures and classic bridal elegance.
Soft Greenery Accents: Sprigs of delicate foliage framing the bouquet to tie it back to the natural beauty of the estate gardens.
The centrepiece of the morning was Kat's bridal bouquet - a hand-tied piece loaded with premium open faced white peonies and rich yellow roses nestled throughout. To complete the look, we crafted two bridesmaid bouquets and groom's party buttonholes.

A Fairytale Walk Down the Aisle
For the ceremony, we wanted to create an elegant, romantic path for Kat's walk down the aisle. We adorned the aisle seats with cloud-like Gypshophila pew ends.
These delicate, fluffy white accents brought a timeless, dreamy texture to the space. They perfectly framed the aisle without competing with the yellow and white colour scheme that awaited the couple at the end of the aisle, making a beautiful entrance.

Transforming the Banqueting Suite: From the Tables to the Cake Table
After a beautiful ceremony, the celebrations moved into Southdowns Manor's stunning Banqueting Suite, where the room's starlit canopy ceiling set a magical mood. We tailored the wedding breakfast flowers to feel abundant yet intimate, carrying the theme across every detail.

A Beautiful Top Table Arrangement:
One of the main focal points during the wedding was a luxurious elongated top table table arrangement. Designed to sit perfectly on both the registrar table and then repurposed to the top table making the most of the floral budget.
Designed to sit perfectly infront of the newlyweds, this piece cascaded gently over the edge of the tables. We packed it with eucalyptus, layers of white peonies, clusters of buttery yellow roses and other seasonal flowers.
It framed Kat and Chris beautifully during their ceremony and wedding breakfast and added a gorgeous pop of colour to every photo taken at the end of the aisle and the top table.

Delicate Bud Vases for the Guest Tables
To complement the top table piece, we styled the guest tables with a collection of curated bud vases. Instead of one heavy centrepiece, these clusters were scattered elegantly across the tables.
This layout kept the tables feeling light, airy, and modern. Plus, the lower profile of the bud vases encouraged effortless conversation among Kat and Chris's guests, allowing everyone to easily chat across the table while admiring the blooms.

The Sweetest Finishing Touch: Flowers for the Cake
Of course, we could not let the wedding cake miss out on the floral magic. We provided a selection of matching fresh blooms to dress Kat and Chris's wedding cake which was provided by www.sweet-cakes.co.uk

Nestling delicate white lisianthus and pops of buttery yellow roses between the tiers tied the entire room together, turning the cake display into a true work of art.
